This recording is based on the powerful sounds from the damru, a divine drum considered to have belonged to Lord Shiva. The sounds of this drum cause forceful vibrations which are believed to keep the mind stable and improve our memory and concentration. The vocal sounds are more staccato and closer together, more in the realm of traditional chants from the East than the singing of many Westernized versions. Produced and recorded in India.
