Tibetan Chakra meditations: This exceptional CD has been a mainstay in the catalog for several years. Singing bowls were originally used in Tibet by shamans of the pre-Buddhism Bon Pot religion to invoke good spirits for harvest, healing and to banish negative energies. The bowls and flutes on this disc are pitched to correspond with the seven chakras, and move through each chakra twice over the course of the recording, with a "Sonic Massage," using all of the singing bowls, placed right in the middle as a useful bridge. The first half combines other instruments with the singing bowls. The 2nd half is just the bowls, each tuned to a specific chakra. This music can be used as an aid to sacred sound toning, meditation, massage, yoga, Reiki, Qigong and similar practices, or listened to simply for peaceful relaxation.
