Artist: Mystic Rhythms Band
Sacred Ones II is dedicated to Gesso Thomas, a Mohawk painter, philosopher and musician who befriended Gregor Theelen, the artist and creative force behind Mystic Rhythms. The influence of Gesso can clearly be heard on this album that features chants and music of Native American cultures. Theelen's compositions are filled with ancient chants, fluid guitars, contemporary melodies, driving rhythms and extensive versatility and musical interplay.
